Grooming is a must for everyone that takes pride in their appearance. And the same goes for shoes; even the most stylish shoe design loses all its impact if the leather is stained or cracked. Before getting to work, ensure the care product you have chosen is the right one for the shoe material. Leather comes in many different types, and suede and smooth leather have very different needs. Whatever material your shoes are made from, be sure to choose a high-quality care cream or foam that will nourish the leather and preserve its natural properties.
Treat smooth leather with classic shoe polish after removing any dust and dirt. Cream polish penetrates deeply into the leather, providing moisture and renewing the colour. Let it sink in for a short while before polishing, and hey presto – your shoes have regained their gloss! Nubuck and suede are more sensitive than smooth leather and must not be treated with shoe cream. Instead, brush the shoe gently and then apply a special suede spray from a distance of approx. 30 cm to refresh the colour and impregnate the surface. Spray as lightly and evenly as possible. For patent leather, apply a special spray and polish with a soft cotton cloth to restore its characteristic mirror sheen.
LLOYD Care Products provide especially long-lasting care for leather; some even already include impregnation agents. Shoes with TEX membrane need particularly concentrated care and in-depth impregnation. There are dedicated sprays for shoes with special surface effects (e.g. metallic); choose the spray that corresponds to the leather type of your shoes.
