Data processing by WhatsApp and entities in the USA
Your data is processed by WhatsApp LLC ("WhatsApp") as the operator of the service. The content of your communication is encrypted. However, the metadata of the communication (e.g. sender, recipient, size of the message, time of sending) can always be viewed by WhatsApp. WhatsApp uses this data to share it within the Meta Group (Meta Platforms, Inc., formerly Facebook Inc.) for unspecified purposes (further information on data processing by WhatsApp can be found here). Please also note that your metadata will also be accessed in the USA (by companies of the Meta Group and possibly by US authorities). Both WhatsApp LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. are certified under the "Data Privacy Framework Program", which ensures an adequate level of data protection. We have no influence whatsoever on data processing by WhatsApp, other Meta companies or US authorities.
Voluntary use and consent
The use of our WhatsApp channel is completely voluntary for you and you can of course also contact us by other means (e.g. email or telephone).
The data processing described above therefore only takes place if you expressly consent to it (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR).
You give your consent by activating a corresponding checkbox on our homepage or by contacting us via WhatsApp. To make sure that you really want to communicate with us via WhatsApp, we will ask you to confirm your consent again in our first message to you. You can revoke your consent at any time by sending us a corresponding message via WhatsApp, writing us an e-mail or contacting us by other means. Your data will then be deleted from our system. Please note that this has no influence on data processing by WhatsApp or other meta companies.
Your data protection rights
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice if you have further questions on the subject of data protection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
