Shoes
Foot measurement
As your feet swell a little during the day, we recommend that you measure them in the evening or early afternoon. Always measure both feet, as they can often be different lengths. For a more accurate measurement, you ideally need a second person to help you.
To determine your foot length, attach a sheet of paper to the floor on a wall or door frame with Sellotape so that it does not slip when measuring. Stand barefoot or wearing thin socks with your heel against the wall on the sheet of paper. Stand comfortably and look straight ahead.
The second person now traces the outline of your foot. It is important that the pencil is held vertically, i.e. at a 90-degree angle. Repeat this process for the second foot.
Then measure the length of both feet with a ruler or tape measure - from the heel to the longest toe. Based on the measured length of the larger foot, use the table below to determine which shoe size corresponds to or comes closest to your measurement. If you are between two sizes, always choose the next larger size.
Procedure:

1. When to measure?
Measure your feet in the evening or early afternoon, as they swell during the day.
2. What is needed?
A sheet of A4 paper, biros, ruler or tape measure and Sellotape or duct tape.
3. Fix sheet
Attach the sheet of paper to the floor with sellotape - directly to a wall or door frame - so that it does not slip when measuring.
4. Organise help
For a more precise measurement, it is advisable to have a second person help you.
5. Take a position
Stand barefoot or wearing thin socks on the sheet of paper with your heel against the wall. Make sure you are standing comfortably and looking straight ahead.
6. Tracing the foot outline
The second person now traces the outline of your foot. It is important that the pen is held vertically - i.e. at a 90-degree angle to the paper.
7. Measure both feet
Repeat the process for the second foot, as feet are often different lengths.
8. Determine foot length
Measure the length of both feet from the heel to the longest toe.
9. Determine shoe size
Use the measured length of the larger foot in the corresponding size chart (depending on your preferred base - EU or UK) to determine which shoe size corresponds to your measurement. If you are between two sizes, always choose the next larger size.
