In August of 2002, after selling our home on 90 acres in California's El Dorado County, we packed what we could into our twin Aztec and set out for the United States Virgin Islands. Our plan, such as it was, was to buy and live aboard a boat while starting a business.
Who are we? We are Connie and Brian Lloyd, 15 year old son, Seth, and eleven year old border collie, Puck.
The West Indies are hardly deepest Africa, neither are they, by a long shot, California. This journal is my
reaction and perspective of the most exotic undertaking of my life...thus far.
